A block party in Baltimore turned tragic early Sunday morning when multiple individuals opened fire, resulting in two deaths and 28 injuries.
The shooting occurred at a block party in the 800 block of Gretna Court in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Baltimore. Police said that they received multiple calls of a shooting around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple people with gunshot wounds.
Two people, an 18-year-old woman identified as Aaliyah Gonzalez and an unidentified person, were pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty-eight other people were injured in the shooting, and they were taken to area hospitals. Of those injured, three are in critical condition.
Police said that they are currently conducting a manhunt for the shooter or shooters responsible for the Block Party Shooting in Baltimore. They have not released any information about a possible motive for the shooting.
This is the second mass shooting in Baltimore in recent weeks. On June 17, a shooting at a hookah lounge in the city left one person dead and 10 others injured.
